NEREUS-Workshop on the occasion of the Toulouse Space Show 2010 Toulouse
08 June – 11 June 2010
NEREUS held a two day workshop on the occasion of this year’s Toulouse Space Show. It started on Tuesday, 08 June 2010 with the opening by the president Alain Bénéteau followed by round table debates in the key areas of NEREUS-collaboration. The international event in Toulouse was also a forum for the launch of the GMES-publication: “25 Uses of GMES in the NEREUS Regions”. It attracted around 80 participants who engaged in a vivid exchange.
Four round table debates were organized and brought together a broad range of players: Round Table on Regional Policy, on EO/GMES, GNSS, Communication, Education and Training.
The following two days (Wednesday/Thursday) were dedicated to paper presentations in the thematic sessions of the round tables (EO/GMES, GNSS, CET…). In response of a call for papers the program committee managed to gather an array of diverse activities, projects and initiatives throughout Europe.
Apart from the technical program during the day, the participants got plenty opportunities for informal networking: either during the “Ice-breaker-cocktail” or on the occasion of the Gala Evening in the Cite d’ Espace while listening to the rhythm of a Spanish band…..
