Space community debated with Member of European Parliament (MEP) Angelika Niebler the challenges and concerns of (regional) companies, in particular SMEs and entrepreneurs with respect to the new EU-Space Industrial Policy 2014-2020.
Bringing together representatives from industry, SMEs and European Commission (EC) as well as the European Space Agency (ESA), the dialogue focused on the question how global markets for space applications and services could be better developed while strengthening the industry and SME base across Europe.
Special emphasis was put on the perspective of companies in particular SMEs. Almost 75 participants had registered for the event. Following the debate participating companies were invited to present themselves and their activities.
