Copernicus4regions new edition: new call for articles is open, deadline 31st of January 2025

The European Commission, the European Space Agency, and the Network of European Regions Using Space Technologies (NEREUS) are pleased to announce a new call for articles, building upon the success of their previous joint publication, The Ever-Growing Use of Copernicus Across Europe’s Regions. As part of the Copernicus4regions follow-on activity, the new edition of the initiative seeks to expand and update the collection of 99 user stories and testimonials from public authorities and service providers across Europe. For this reason, we welcome new authors as well as authors with existing stories who would like to share an update to submit their use cases!

We invite local and regional authorities, as well as companies and institutions, to submit short stories showcasing how Copernicus data or services are being used to address local and regional challenges. We are particularly interested in examples that illustrate collaborations between public users and service providers, where public authority involvement or endorsement is clearly evident. These efforts aim to foster community building and bridge the gap between service providers and public users, highlighting the impact of space-enabled solutions on administrative operations. By sharing your experiences, you will contribute to raising awareness about the tangible benefits of Copernicus and help bridge the gap between policymakers, data providers, and users.

Help us document the growing impact of Copernicus across Europe and inspire others by sharing your success story!
