The session is part of a series that introduces the participants to the dimension of space technologies for different application domains. This session focuses on Space4Health and wants to highlight the opportunities of space-based services and products but also identify needs of the regional/local level in the health sector. Bearing in mind that public health and the environment are closely linked, Earth Observation (EO) and satellite-based services provide data and tools in helping us understand, track, and predict diseases and public health developments.

ECMWF is going to introduce the Copernicus Health Hub and present some its activities. The hub is a new tool to help the health sector better leverage all the Earth Observation data, information, products and services (from the six Copernicus Services and the Copernicus Space Component) that can be relevant for their work, activities or interests. The spectrum covers all health-related topics, including physical health, mental health and well-being. The Hub supports users to better exploit and use this information by providing access to catalogues, supporting documentation and inspirational use case stories.
Target group: space clusters within and outside NEREUS, SMEs, companies, and all regional stakeholders interested in space businesses regarding the use of space technologies.
